Love My Kids - The Tracy Otte Foundation has three simple goals...
Mentoring
One of Tracy’s amazing strengths was her ability to “come alongside” her students, both inside and outside of the classroom environment. Her love and empathy inspired her students to “dream big” and inspired them to reach their personal and academic potential.
Tracy’s genuine care and affection for her students is a big part of what Love My Kids will provide: caring mentoring relationships between students and their mentors that will provide inspiration, reassurance, support, and motivation to succeed both academically and personally.
It is our aim to have several of Tracy’s former students now attending high school and college to serve in many of these mentoring roles in addition to caring community members sharing our vision.
Tutoring
Knowing that the seeds of academic success need to be “watered” both inside and outside of the traditional classroom environment, Love My Kids has placed a priority on providing supplemental learning support to Marshall students in the form of tutoring.
It is our vision that students will receive both individual and group tutoring to support and reinforce the hard work and dedication of Marshall’s teachers.
Support
A student’s “success” is not determined solely by the grades they earn in school. Their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are all incredibly important.
Mirroring Tracy’s multi-layered concern and love for her students, Love My Kids has the vision of ministering to the whole child, which includes not only meeting their practical needs in the form of school supplies and backpacks, but also by expanding their worldview with day trips, tours of college campuses, and meeting with former Marshall students that have achieved academic and personal success.
It is our vision to empower and inspire students, providing them the tools needed to transform their lives.
Love My Kids recognizes the incredibly important role that family plays in this process. We have the goal of coming alongside parents as well as students as we work together toward a common objective: the success of our kids!
