Tracy Otte, the inspiration for Love My Kids, was truly “larger than life.” She was an incredible wife, mother, friend, teacher, cheerleader, advocate, mentor, and a woman of strong faith, a faith that she lived out every day, in every aspect of her life.
Her sudden and tragic passing in February of 2014 left an immense void in the lives of so many; her family, her circle of friends, her church, and her students at Marshall Elementary in Garden Grove.
Hundreds of children touched by Tracy’s love and encouragement believed and hoped for a brighter future because of Tracy’s positive influence and boundless energy and enthusiasm.
As her friends and colleagues struggled with how to break the news of her sudden passing to her beloved students, one was blessed with the sound of Tracy’s voice in her ears: “Love my kids” and the idea for the Tracy Otte Foundation began to take shape!
